Ganga Rejuvenation by Army Battalions

River Ganga is one of the most important river in India not only due to it's religious significance but also due to the fact that it provides water to 11 states and almost 40% of the population .In the recent years Ganga has been very severely polluted .As the pollution of Ganga is increasing ,  Ministry of Water Resources and Ganga Rejuvenation has created the Ganga task force with the help of army battalions to explain demerits of polluting river and to spread awareness among people about it's importance. They would also carry out plantation drives across the bank and encourage people to make Ganga pollution free . Keeping an eye on the industrial units which discharge effluents into the Ganga will also be one of their important duties . People residing there can complain about the same .Four battalions have been hired for this purpose for a period of five years. For one battalion the cost will be Rs 75 crore making a sum of Rs 300 crore which will be the expenditure for the next five years. These battalions comprise of ex-servicemen who live along the banks said Najeeb, a senior social specialist of Clean Ganga. Since the minister is guiding rules and function of battalions, final role would be decided after the process is completed. The battalions would be stationed at critical points from Gaumukh in Uttarakhand to Ganga Sagar in West Bengal.
If this plan is successful we could hope to  see a Cleaner and less polluted Ganga in the Future.

Save Ganga , Clean Ganga !!!
